Remember when Mel Gibson was an Anti-Semitic nightmare who said really scary and disgusting things to his girlfriend? I sure don’t after watching this stunning trailer for his new film, The Beaver! Directed by Jodie Foster, the film tells the story of a man named Walter (Mel Gibson) who’s in the midst of separating from his wife (Jodie Foster.) Feeling dejected, Walter finds solace in a beaver hand puppet that he begins to use to communicate with the world. At first, everyone’s like, “That’s creepy. Stop it!” but after some time, they realize they prefer it when the puppet talks instead of him. Improbable and goofy? Yes! Heartwarming and inspirational? Double yes!
