These are the people that go through life ignoring all of the bad and emphasizing the good. These are the people that forgive no matter how many times they are let down.
You can’t close your eyes through love, you can’t go into it thinking you are bound to get hurt or that you are going to regret being vulnerable.
The things people notice tell us what is important to them. What stands out in a person’s eyes provides insight to one’s values, fears, and passions.
Sometimes we give a person every last bit of us, but they find someone better. Sometimes we do no wrong to a person, but they hurt us.
Resist the urge to replace old people with new people so quickly. Instead, replace them with yourself. Become your own best friend. Love yourself better than anyone you know.
You can choose to be defined by the one thing that knocked you down, or you can choose to be defined by how many times you got back up and kept going.
