Forrest Gump (1994)
Ocean sequence: Tom Hanks and his Vietnam vet buddy start a shrimp fishing company, in honor of Vietnam-fallen “Bubba,” whose dream it was to do so. In one endearing scene, Gary Sinise (the fishing partner, a double leg amputee), finally comes to term with his harrowing condition and hoists himself into the ocean with upper-body and inner-self strength. Forrest sees this, and smiles.
